Hey, the guy can weld…
That was the part that I heard spoken from one to another before I struck another arc and continued with what I was doing.
As it turned out a couple of comrades from another branch were discussing the welding that had to be done on some of our trucks. The one guy was questioning an army mechanic’s abilities to weld and the other had watched me welding and said it in such a way that sounded as if he had been impressed. Neat. I suppose I’ll let that go to my head for a few days since the two individuals happen to be welders.
That’s my boy! I love you son! Come home soon!
Now don’t go and get a swelled head, welder boy.
Come home safe and sound. Let us know when you’re coming home!
Na, I had the big head for a little while and it was kinda fun. Then I did some tricky welding and it came out right on the first time so I let it stay where it was for another day. I think maybe everyone should have a moment of bigheadedness every once in a while…but also know when to stop!
Yep, you’re right. A little swelled head once in awhile is a good thing. Uncle Bo joined the Minuteman Patriots, if you know who they are and he’s soon going to be in the SAR and we all are part of the local 912 group.
